In 2022 there was a significant reform to the divorce process removing the concept of fault. The Change has allowed us to reduce our fees for providing legal services in this area of law/
The new process replaces the need for couples to allocated fault such as listing their spouses unreasonably behaviours or infidelity. The process also removes the possibility of a divorce being contested and allows for the application to be made jointly.
These changes also apply to civil partnerships
Often with Divorce proceedings, other issues regarding children and finances will also need to be resolved. We can guide you through these processes.
FIXED PRICE DIVORCE AND FINANCIAL ISSUES REPRESENTATION
Dawsons Law make the fees fixed and transparent:
Fixed Fee Divorce £475.00 plus 20% VAT plus Disbursement (i.e. Court fees currently £593 (no VAT)- 2024)
If you are a person who has received a divorce petition (known as a respondent) and require advice this can be as little as Our fixed fee rate of £150 plus 20% VAT
What is included in the Fixed Price Divorce?
Our fixed fee divorce package includes all steps from initial instructions through to Decree Absolute (Final Order) at the end of the divorce process.
What is not included in the Fixed Price Divorce?
Our fixed price divorce package does not include any associated work such as financial work concerning assets or pensions (ancillary relief) or legal advice provided where children are involved. We will provide you with a competitive quote for dealing with matrimonial financials or matters relating to children and can provide you with interest free monthly payment terms.
